Night Sky

Gazing at the moon from my windowpane
I put the chin upon my hands.
Despite the curtains swirling with winter breeze
everything seemed so calm and right
Shining amid the unfathomable darkness
The moon enlightened the night sky
"Keep up the dedication and don't fade away"
was what the moon seemingly advising me that night
"How are you so pretty dear moon?", I asked
But she remained quiet.
She doesn't hear me, does she?
Neither she speaks,
an irony hard to accept,
I then got drawn into some exquisite flecks
The stars began to unfold!
The stars lingered around the moon
shimmering in pure whites.
A night of tantalising possibilities
and ahead of me a contest for the connoisseur
I couldn't but be overjoyed in such an ambient place
So when in the solitude I recall,
the spontaneity behind the occasion
delight suffuses the entirety of my soul
which is the joy of romanticism
and then i gaze at the night sky again,
untill my heart craves for it,
and again!
